Life is full of uncertainties.
Sometimes, relationships, work, family, friends, finances, and other challenges make it difficult to know how to move forward. You feel beaten up, alone, and begin to have self-doubt, questioning every decision you make.
Some days are easier than others as you push aside the negativity and keep moving forward. Other days the negativity won’t go away, keeping you stuck with no clear way forward. That indecisiveness creates a heavy feeling, making you lose motivation, and feel overwhelmed as sadness, shame, and fear take over.
Once, you knew what to do in various situations, but now you question every move, worrying that any decision you make will be wrong. It seems like you have lost any self-awareness you once had.
Around other people, you are very self-conscious, so it’s hard to say anything, making you feel alone. Communication used to be easy, but now it seems like you have lost the ability to interact with confidence.
Something is missing, but what?
Your job is unfulfilling, and you want to take a different direction. But you wonder, “Should I risk changing professions at this point? What happens if I fail?”

My role as your therapist is to collaborate with you, help you achieve your goals and address issues that create uncertainty in your life. We will identify the root causes of the negative feeling, identify their source, break down feelings about yourself, identify the lies you tell yourself, and start healing those wounds.
We will use scientifically proven, evidence-based treatment methods (e.g., Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Image Transformation Therapy) to help you achieve your goals. Therapy can help you find a resolution to adverse events and thoughts from the past and help you move forward with life.
The harmful residue associated with uncertainty and self-doubt needs cleaning up and replaced with self-confidence, determination, and a willingness to face the world. If you fail to clean up that residue, the adverse side effects eventually come to the surface and are usually experienced in anger, sadness, fear, insecurities, worry, etc.
When we deal with the past, we can work on any present-day stressors and resolve those issues.
